This was at the top of another trail that make up the Arnold Rim Trails. It was a fairly flat and wide ridge about 100 feet or so long, that was created by two plates being pushed up against each other with different stone layers. The rock formations and he patterns on one side were noticeably different from the other side based on how they were formed and pressurized. It was getting late in the evening, the sum warmth was fading away and the breeze that had kept us cool was starting to give us slight chills. My son Erik was ready to head back but I just couldn’t get enough of the faded and dirt covered rock patterns under my feet, literally.I walked over this patch of flat rock hat looked fairly plain at first, but after I took few steps back and looked closer, I liked the subtle colors and patterns in it and decided to take a shot just in case there was more to it than I could see with naked eyes, since camera never lies.It appears that I need to go back with real camera and spend most of the afternoon on each ridge for potentially a series on Arnold Rim Trails.
